Pink Rose

Current play-to-death song in my playlist.
Iris- Goo Goo Dolls

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

My Space

You must be thinking I damm bo liao, nothing better to do izzit.
Well, I'm feeling real sleepy right now, after reading about the AWARE saga on and off the whole day.
I have to do it, with it being the topic of a presentation next week. Yesterday is the first day of the new semester, and we got an assignment, fast right.

Long week ahead.I'm fully booked for the week. Was looking at my schedule for this week, realised that I might not even have time to breathe. LOL. I need to write a reminder in my organiser--- note to self---breathe.

See below-- I really hide under a bed-a bunk bed that is.
My 'table' is a small cupboard press into service as a table.

Dry cabinet, camera bags, and a tripod hanging behind.
And that is not a speaker- it's a bass amplifier.

Btw- my bed is behind- currently it's in green.

New bag... Lowepro Nova 5 AW

Got this bag from a clubsnapper.
It might be 2nd hand, but the condition is about as mint as it can get.
It still got the "new bag smell".
I spent the better part of last evening trying out various combination to arrange the interior.
With a little rearranging, I should be able to fit in a second camera body + another lens if there is a need.
For now, I just put in my Yashica rangefinder and a few rolls of films.
I like the well padded strap which offered a good degree of comfort when carrying the bag.

You can see my 30D with attached Sigma 24-70. Right next to it is the 50mm, with the 85 mm below.
I threw in my card reader and the battery charger and cables.
The Yashica is in between the crappy blower, which I am intending to change with the Giottos Rocket Blower soon,
and my Matin Strap.

Canon EOS 500D @ Fort Canning 02-05-2009

Canon had recently released their latest addition to the entry-level DSLR market, the EOS 500D.

Are there any major differences between the 500D and it's predecessor, the 450D?

Yes, of course. Following the recent trend of video capable DSLRs, the 500D is able to record video in 1080 dp HD.
This would make it the 3rd DSLR that is able to record videos, after the Nikon D90 and Canon 5Dmk2.

Another major difference is the 15.1 Megapixels CMOS sensors, similar to that of the 50D.
Like the mid-range 50D, the 500D is also using the Digic 4 processor.

One thing that I like about the 500D is the decent performances at high ISO. The 500D has an ISO range of 100-3200, expandable to 12800. Granted, I did not perform any detailed tests with all the technical stuffs and such, with only a single morning of handling the camera at a shooting session organised by Canon Singapore.

This is not meant to be a review of the 500D, it is just a post of my thoughts and opinions on the new camera.
For a more detailed review, you could check out the various websites around the web.

I had posted a few photos taken this morning with the 500D, the lens used are stated.
